How long does it take for an NEFT transfer to be processed?

NEFT transfers are processed in batches and settled in hourly intervals during the working hours of the banks. The actual time taken to process an NEFT transfer can vary depending on the time of initiation, the amount being transferred, and the participating banks. However, as per the RBI guidelines, NEFT transfers must be completed within two hours of the initiation of the transaction. In practice, most NEFT transfers are completed within a few hours or by the end of the same working day.
