How do I buy and sell ETFs?
Curious about ETFs
In India, you can buy and sell ETFs through a stockbroker or online trading platform. To do so, you would need to have a demat account and a trading account with a broker. Once you have these accounts, you can place an order for the ETF you want to buy or sell, just like you would with a stock.
ETFs are bought and sold on stock exchanges like any other listed stock. You will need to place a buy order for the ETF at the desired price, and your broker will execute the order if there is a matching sell order. Similarly, you can place a sell order for the ETF at the desired price, and your broker will execute the order if there is a matching buy order.
It's important to note that ETF prices fluctuate throughout the trading day, so the price at which you buy or sell an ETF may not be the same as the price you see when you place your order.
